Kenyan business delegation departing Nairobi for a China trade and sourcing mission
China Business Travel · Kenya

China business travel, trade & innovation missions - managed end-to-end.

Tulla Travel coordinates business travel between Kenya, East Africa and China for trade delegations, sourcing groups, companies, associations and organisations attending trade fairs, visiting suppliers, touring manufacturing hubs or running innovation and technology exposure programmes. Flights, China visa support, hotels, interpreters, inter-city rail, factory routing and group logistics run from our Nairobi coordination desk - and we handle inbound Chinese delegations into Kenya on the same terms.

China Business Travel - in short

Yes - Tulla Travel arranges business travel from Kenya to China. That covers individual business trips, company and association trade delegations, Canton Fair travel, supplier and factory visits, Yiwu and Guangzhou sourcing programmes, Shenzhen innovation and technology missions, multi-city routings across Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Foshan, Yiwu, Shanghai and Beijing, and inbound Chinese delegations into Kenya. We coordinate travel, mobility and mission logistics. We are not a sourcing agent, customs broker, freight forwarder or investment adviser, and we do not guarantee visa approval, supplier quality or commercial outcomes.

Frequently combined with Canton Fair travel from Kenya, China business visa support, delegation travel management, group travel management, corporate travel management in Kenya and exposure and study missions.

Why choose Tulla Travel

A China business trip is not a flight and a hotel

Most China programmes out of Nairobi combine at least three things: a fair or exhibition with fixed dates, a set of supplier or factory appointments in different cities, and internal meetings that only work if the group arrives rested and on time. Each pulls the itinerary in a different direction, and the fare is usually the least important variable.

We plan the commercial objective first, then the cities, then the route - not the other way round. That single ordering removes most of the cost and friction people associate with China travel, because it stops you buying a ticket you then have to bend the meetings around.

  • Business objective and what the trip must produce
  • Exhibition dates, phase and registration deadlines
  • Supplier appointments and factory sequencing across provinces
  • Interpreters, local transport and high-speed rail between cities
  • Business visa documentation and realistic embassy timelines
  • Hotel positioning relative to fairs, markets and meeting venues
  • Traveller communications, group manifests and contingency planning

Factory and supplier visits

Factory visits are rarely in the fair city and often not in the same province. We confirm each site address in Chinese characters, agree the visit window with the supplier ahead of travel, and route the group by high-speed rail where it beats flying on door-to-door time. We build slack between appointments: a day planned around three factories usually delivers two and a rushed third.

Tulla Travel coordinates travel and visit logistics. We do not guarantee supplier quality, factory credentials, commercial outcomes or procurement decisions - those remain your commercial judgement, and any partner promising otherwise should be treated carefully.

Sourcing missions: Yiwu, Guangzhou, Foshan and Shenzhen

Sourcing groups usually need a different itinerary from delegations. Yiwu suits SMEs and importers doing wide product discovery across the International Trade City; Guangzhou and Foshan suit wholesale, furniture, building materials and manufacturing clusters; Shenzhen suits electronics, components and technology-led sourcing.

Our part is the travel-management component: market-adjacent hotels, daily movement sheets, interpreters who know the market halls, sample-friendly transport, and city sequencing that does not waste two working days on transfers.

Innovation and technology exposure missions

A growing share of enquiries are not sourcing trips at all. Boards, technology teams, county and institutional groups want structured exposure to how manufacturing, electronics, digital commerce, smart infrastructure and agritech operate at scale - with Shenzhen and the Greater Bay Area as the usual anchor.

We build these as business missions with an agenda: host organisation visits, technology parks, production environments, interpreter support and structured debriefs, with a route that keeps travel time subordinate to learning time.

Business hubs

The business hubs we route most often.

Concise commercial context, not destination brochures. Most Kenyan programmes combine two or three of these cities in a single mission.

Hong Kong

Common international arrival gateway, business orientation and networking base, with straightforward onward movement into Shenzhen and the Greater Bay Area.

Shenzhen

Electronics, components, technology and manufacturing innovation - Huaqiangbei and the surrounding commercial ecosystems, plus factory and host-company visits.

Guangzhou

Canton Fair, wholesale trade and broad manufacturing access. Hotel positioning and fair-phase timing decide whether the trip works.

Foshan

Furniture, building materials, ceramics and manufacturing clusters, usually run as a day extension from Guangzhou by road or rail.

Yiwu

Yiwu International Trade City - wholesale sourcing and product discovery at scale, suited to importers, SMEs and buyer groups.

Shanghai & Beijing

Corporate meetings, institutional engagements, industry exhibitions and government or association programmes, often as the formal leg of a delegation.

Operating experience

A 29-person China business delegation, coordinated end-to-end from Nairobi.

Tulla Travel has coordinated a completed 29-traveller international China business programme covering the full movement rather than isolated bookings. Client details remain confidential; the operating pattern below is what we reuse on every China mission of similar size.

  • International air travel for the full delegation on a controlled manifest
  • Hotel accommodation positioned to the programme, not to the cheapest rate
  • China visa documentation support and staged appointments
  • Travel insurance for every traveller
  • Coordinated ground logistics and inter-city movement
  • Traveller management and a single communications channel throughout
How we work

From enquiry to homecoming - one thread, one coordinator.

  1. Step 01

    Define the objective

What the mission must produce commercially - sourcing, fair attendance, supplier audit, exposure or formal engagement.

  2. Step 02

    Select cities & fairs

Business hubs, exhibition phases, market halls and host organisations mapped to the objective.

  3. Step 03

    Design the route

City sequencing, rail versus air, working-day allocation and hotel positioning drafted before anything is booked.

  4. Step 04

    Stage visas & documents

Business visa packs, invitation letters, passport checks and appointment scheduling by nationality.

  5. Step 05

    Confirm the programme

Flights, hotels, interpreters, transfers, rail seats and fair registration locked with a deadline timeline.

  6. Step 06

    Prepare travellers

Pre-departure briefing, documentation packs, payment and connectivity guidance, meeting etiquette.

  7. Step 07

    Operate the mission

Daily movement sheets, on-trip support, changes absorbed by the coordinator rather than the delegation.

  8. Step 08

    Post-mission follow-through

Reconciliation, supplier and hotel performance notes, and planning for the next cycle or fair phase.
