How do we get to Watamu or Malindi?

A flight to Malindi is the shortest route, and SGR to Mombasa with an onward road transfer is the common alternative. Driving is possible if you want a vehicle on the ground. The onward transfer time is the main difference between the options and we set it out plainly in the quote.

Is the north coast better for couples or families?

It suits both, and it is the quieter choice. Couples take it for the calm and the snorkelling, and families take it when the belt north of Mombasa feels too busy over the holidays. Share your party details and we shape the stay and outings around them.

How many nights are ideal?

Five to seven nights is comfortable, because the longer travel down deserves more than a couple of nights at the other end. Four works if your flights fall well.

Are marine park fees included?

They are shown separately, since they are charged by the marine park and differ for residents and non-residents. Tell us your party's residence status and we itemise them accurately.

Culture and forest
Gede ruins and Arabuko Sokoke
A half day inland to the Gede ruins and the forest edge, with a private vehicle and driver, then back to the beach for the afternoon.
Departure
North coast to Nairobi
Transfer to Malindi airport for the return flight, or back to Mombasa for the SGR, depending on how you travelled down.
